Praying for Arkansas

It's been a tough week around here.  Deadly tornadoes hit our community on April 27th. Mayflower and Vilonia, AR - just miles from where we live.

There are simply no words to describe the devastation that occurred in the matter of minutes.  Precious lives were lost - fathers, mothers, and children.  More than 300 homes in our country were completely destroyed with hundreds more damaged. Many areas left completely leveled.

I had to travel through one of the areas hit hard to take my husband to the airport.  I have seen storm damage many times before, but - nothing like this.  Many describe it as a "war zone".

But, despite this massive tragedy of all of this - God is at work!  In fact, I think he does his best work in these situations.  Arkansas has come together to rescue, recover, and renew the faith of all involved.  The world is watching the hands and feet at Jesus at work in our communities.  Thousands of volunteers responded immediately.  Donations and contributions began pouring in just hours after the storm cleared.  It renews my faith to see so many come together, so quickly.

Please join me in praying for God's light to shine through this dark storm.
