Graduation Quilt 4.0

Speaking of Graduation traditions, one of the most anticipated ones for my soon-to-be-graduate is the Graduation T-shirt Quilt!

I've been keeping t-shirts for each of them, and I think Selah may be the most excited.

It has come down to the wire...but, I finished it in time!

Graduation Quilt 3.0

Just had to show off another creation.

I've collected t-shirts for each of them, and love getting to put them together into a special graduation gift.

Here's Noah's -

I love knowing they'll be wrapped up in it when they leave...

UFO - 2017

My sweet daughter has inspired me to finally complete those UFO's (unfinished objects!)  that have been in my quilting stash...

Last year - I finished a quilt for our bed - a Irish colorwash, which we have LOVED!  And, we did a "home quilt makeover" for my hubby's quilt.

This year - the Double wedding ring table runner is done!

And, I even completed a Christmas table runner too :-)  But, I forgot to snap a picture before it got put away.

I love that girl's ideas...

No more UFOs!

I have to take a minute to brag... I have no more U.F.O.s in my quilting stash!  I mean, no more Un-Finished Objects!  Actually...a small disclaimer:  no UFO that was previously started and set aside for 10-20 years...there may be plenty of fabric stashed away for projects intended to be started though.

Here's what my daughter inspired me to tackle:

My "Color Wash Irish Chain" king-sized quilt.  Finally, a quilt for my bed!  I did this one early in my quilting years, hand quilted parts of it, and packed it away for the next 10-12 years while I started homeschooling a bunch of kiddos....

My crossed-stitched - "Angel of Light".  I completed the stitching of this one 20 years ago (no lie...I stitched the date on it) and had no idea how  I wanted to finish it.  Selah decided it would be a lovely Christmas throw pillow.

We call this one "The Ultimate Quilt Makeover".  We had to basically do a "fixer upper" quilt edition on this one.  We took the torn back off, repaired the blocks, then re-backed (with a bed sheet), re-pinned, and re-quilted.  Matt has his TV quilt back... if the kids will share :-)

I feel so productive!  I may not quilt for another 10 years....

I did it!

I can cross off a "life goal" on my personal bucket list! Each one of my children can sleep wrapped up in a quilt I made for them.

Now, what am I going to work on next?
