First Friday Friends - Finale!

We have had a wonderful year together!  This group of moms and daughters have become precious friends.

We ended with a big splash!  A pool party!!

Our craft was very simple, I got paper mache picture frames the girls could decorate or sign as a memento of our time together.

LOVE this group!

First Friday Friends - April

Our April meeting was on Good Friday! What a beautiful way to celebrate Jesus' sacrifice, with dear ones.


Our craft was so easy!

All we needed to do was take some burlap wide ribbon,  cut it into 2 lengths for the cross.  Then we hot glued it together in the center, added a decoration and a hanging cord.  DONE!

How I adore these precious girls!!

First Friday Friends - January

Our January meeting was all about a "Heart of Beauty".

After filling the house with the smells of chocolate chip cookies... we demonstrated (with the help of a dear mom friend who can ROCK high heels and short skirts) what true beauty looks like!  If you want to know more...you should check out their book :-)

For our craft - we made adorable cork boards with some key verses about how God sees beauty.

Each of them were unique, just like our beautiful daughters.

First Friday Friends - December

Sorry...I'm behind AGAIN!

Our First Friday Friends



group is going so well!  Our December meeting focused on the "Heart of Rejoicing".

The girls divided into their "flower groups" (my way of making teams of older/younger girls for games or discussions).

Then, I gave them some tinsel, crepe paper, and toilet paper.  Their task was to "decorate" on of their team into a Christmas symbol.  It was hilarious!!

Our craft was making paper bag advent chains that held 12 verses for special Mother/Daughter times during the month focusing on the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus' birth.

This group is the most precious collection of moms and daughters, it's truly special to see how a group of "strangers" have become just dear friends in just a short time.

Our FIRST - First Friday Friends

After waiting, and wanting to start a "First Friday Friends" group for the past couple of years... I finally got it launched.  (Believe it or not...I wasn't sure if anyone would want to join me)

Our group kicked off with 9 families represented by 17 girls (ages 7-16).  It was an instant blessing!

We use the Leader Guide and Girl Guide.  This is a fabulous product - it contains everything you need to host, plan and inspire your group.  NO - this is not a sponsored review, I just LOVE this so much I had to share.

We started the night off with a fun Get-to-know each other game.  Then we cuddled up in my small music room and read a story that corresponds to our monthly theme.  This month was "A Heart of Friendship", all about choosing good friends and being a good friend.

For our craft activity, we made friendship bracelets.  My daughters had an absolutely wonderful time getting a chance to be creative with friend.  Our bracelets were simple with colored beads, a cross charm and hemp cording.  (and inexpensive too).

The night ended with plenty of snacks, giggles and "girl time".  New friendships were born :-)

 

Moms and daughters can continue with the Girl Time book and spend some quality time together during the month too.  

 

My house and heart were full - and we are already looking forward to next month!
