Our Broken Butterfly

My dear daughter found a beautiful caterpillar.  The caterpillar graciously built his cocoon so we could watch the miracle of transformation again...

About a week later... the beautiful caterpillar emerged a beautiful, but broken butterfly.  One of his wings didn't unfurl.  He really is the most beautiful butterfly I've ever seen.

Isn't it just like life to emerge on us unexpectedly broken, but still breathtakingly beautiful?

 With his wing not operational, we didn't know if he could fly.  So we put him on a flower (which he promptly began to drink from), said a quick prayer, and released him.

Amazingly, he flew off!  A another miracle of life.
