Our wonderful adventure ended on a God-staged Grand Finale!
With an unexpected flight delay, my MN besties were able to come to church with us! They got to have another moment "Max Lucado" style...
But, even better - they were there to pray for Matt's healing with us. Nothing in the amazing weekend beat feeling my long-time, heart friends' hands on my shoulders as we boldly prayed for Matt's healing at the altar.
Isn't God simply amazing how he orchestrates even the small details?

The Riverwalk
Continuing our adventure... could MN visit San Antonio without a visit to the Riverwalk and the Alamo? Of course not!
Sometimes, it's good to be reminded of what you get used to having by seeing it with fresh eyes! The Riverwalk is a fiesta of lights, colors, music and food. Even though it was chilly...we had a great time!

IF:Gathering - 2018
Continuing our adventure - the IF:Gathering 2018!
This was my 4th If:Gathering. I have a hard time describing it... Inspiring speakers, powerful worship and thousands of women gathering to hear from God. Sharing it with your besties makes it priceless!
Here are few highlights - we got a chance to connect with IJM Ministries (we visited them in Chennai, India together!) We all recorded messages to our congressmen. And bought new shirts too... :-)
My fan-moment - getting to talk with Katie Davis Majors - go read her books! Kisses from Katie and Daring to Hope, they'll change your life! She is absolutely adorable, and so compassionate.
Christine Caine is my hero! She may be tiny, but she is fierce!!
And, the worship... BLOW your MIND! "You Keep Hope Alive" - sung by thousands of voices,
I left full.

Selfies with Jessica Honegar - Noonday Founder!
It's powerful to see these influential, faith-filled women on their knees....

The "Pilgrimage"
When MN comes to TX - they must make the "pilgrimage". You know where... Magnolia Silos in Waco!
I love these two! We made it inside the bakery - my first time ever...
and they were worth the wait!
And the "Super Fan" award goes to... Jenny! She had multiple "moments" of unbelievable excitement that "we are really here" :-)
and they were worth the wait!
A picture perfect day!
Of course... we had to go stalk all the Waco locations...
Yes, the super-fan made us creep the restaurant, which is NOT yet open! Just to find the "handprints". Some us may have refused to get out of the car at this stop.... or were possibly locked in by the child locks...
Waco has NEVER been this much fun! Hope they let us come back some day!

MN - Welcome to TX!
It was a much needed respite from our cancer fighting. What a blessing to have friends that have known you for decades (and still like you!).
First stop on our epic adventure:
The Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls. This is an iconic little cafe, and now I know why... PIE and the CINNAMON ROLLS! I'll never just drive right past again - it's a new stop on the way to Belton!
After that much needed stop after an hour on the road, it was back in the zippy little car and on to Waco.
But, of course - having a TX driver's license, I'm not allowed to pass Buc-Ees without a stop. After introducing them to how we do potty stops around these parts... we hit the road again.
It is fun to "see" these familiar sights with new eyes... Seriously TX - do you have to be such a BIG bragger about everything, even gas stations??
